PGCE Spain – Teacher Training in Spain

If you have moved to Spain and want to live and work here you may well be stumped for a way to earn your living here. Traditionally English speakers have worked in TEFL teaching but wages in this area have not really kept up with the cost of living so longer and longer hours are required to earn a decent living.

If you already have a degree then maybe you could be helped by doing a PGCE course without having to go back to the UK. Learning to teach whilst still in Spain could be a great way of living here. Teachers wages start typically at 1400-1500 Euros per month and the first year of PGCE Spain candidates all got a job in Spain at the end of the course. The demand for teachers is still high here especially in international schools.

Have a look at the PGCE Spain website here http://pgcespain.com/en/index.php and start doing your teacher training course in Spain. Learning and finally earning in Spain might well be a good way of making sure you can live here and have a career too.

The intake for this year will be over 50 students and there is also the possibility of starting the course in January or April at the start of each term. Teaching experience will be given in schools based all over Spain and you will be mentored by teachers currently in the schools that participate which belong to the project. There is sure to be a British school in your area that is participating.
